Crossing Thresholds… (Once Again)

A lot of people say that life is like a book. We turn a new page each day- and for each one- a new story is just waiting to unfold. Incredibly (and sometimes unfortunately), it is we alone who are accountable in writing our own stories. Our actions and decisions make up who we are and who we become. The people around us are just other characters who have their own stories as well which happened to intersect with ours. It is really up to us how fast the pace of the story will be or how adventurous and exciting it will become. As I begin a new chapter in my life, I hope that it would be as great (or even better) than the previous ones I’ve had.

On Monday, I’ll start working as a Biscuits Brand Assistant of Monde Nissin Corporation. I’ve always dreamt of working for a local food company but I never expected that I’d make a living out of biscuits… Haha. (Go Eggnog! Go Sumo! Go Sky Flakes! Go Fita! Go Bingo! Go Bread Stix! Go Nissin Wafer! Go Voice! Biscuit Biscuit kayo diyan…) Nonetheless, personally, I’m very much thankful that I’ve been chosen for the job.

However, honestly, I have lots of qualms about work per se. Perhaps it’s just the fear of the unknown that makes me feel this way; Or maybe the thought of starting from scratch and going back to square one makes me think that I do have to start things all over again with people who I barely know. Haha. I do feel like a 12-year old entering high school – excited yet frightened. New faces. New people. New tasks. New everything.

Yet, unlike entering high school, nobody knows what the next step is after the first job. There’s no more sure next step. What lies beyond is dependent upon one’s performance/satisfaction.

Whew! I still do have lots of things which I’d like to share but apparently, I couldn’t (or else I might face a very uncomfortable situation). One thing’s for sure though as I’ll be crossing this new threshold – there’s no way for me to go but forward. Haha.

Abducted by Aliens

Last night, i had a very weird dream of being abducted by aliens. First, I don’t usually remember my dreams, so why did I? And second, why does it have to involve aliens? As far as i know myself, i don’t believe that much in fantasy. I tend to be realistic most of the time. To keep it from bothering me, i decided to search the answers to my questions – hence i posted this blog entry.

On Sleep Paralysis

So that’s it. Perhaps the abrupt changes which my body has undergone caused my alien abduction. I hope that next time I’d be able to reach their planet.

Whichever Greenwich

It’s really not that hard to please me when it comes to food. Since I have a small tummy, I easily get satiated. My physique proves it. Plus, I’m not a picky eater either. Despite these things, Greenwich has never delivered me from hunger. No matter what I order from them, my stomach never gets filled. Add to that the poor quality of service which is common to all of its branches. Slow cooking, long serving time, impolite personnel and dirty utensils characterize this fastfood chain… Until now, I’m wondering why Jollibee Foods Corporation even dared to acquire 80% of this company… Unless they do something about the operations of this business, more and more customers would be left dissatisfied by their service. They must be well aware that a lot of substitutes are at their consumers’ options list. Good advertising (with influential endorsers) could not and would not be able to offset their lack of proper operations in the long run. As early as now, they must overhaul the way they retail their products and the way conduct their services or else, for sure, they’d suffer losses and eventually close down the entire business.

Epitome of Stupidity

I’m not a fan of beauty pageants. I’d rather spend my time doing better stuff than watching contests that promote the Western standards of beauty (as if I care… haha).

However, I just really can’t let this pass. I feel the need to post this video to share the fun that I had while viewing it.

This reminds me of an incident back when I was still in fourth year high school. I attended the Mr. and Ms. STEP Pageant (for my TLE class/grade… haha). In the Q and A portion of the contest, a candidate was asked if she agrees that beauty contests exploit their contestants. Without hesitation, she answered yes and even further added insult to injury when she elaborated her answer using grammatically incorrect sentences.

And guess what…. She’s a Mass Comm student

I know that this blog is virtually dead and inconspicuous here in the blogosphere. Yet, let me publicize and present you an upcoming event of which I’m so ~~proud~~ apprehensive. I am one of the people who have conceptualized this project (somehow regrettably). Haha. I feel that I’m not giving good vibes on this one anymore… Instead of promoting, this post is turning out to be derogatory. Since this blog just keeps on getting revived time and again , I have the idea that this has a spirit and is immortal… Haha… Anyway to start off my regular posts, here’s a list of the top 10 immortals as taken from LiveScience.com.

10: Peter Pan

Haha. Who would’ve thought that this blog would be given a new lease of life? If not for my BA180.1 class, this blog revival wouldn’t be made possible. Anyway since the fire of the phoenix has already begun burning again, I might as well just keep it alive. I know that time will come when I’d begin to feel lethargic about blogging again as it had happened so many times before. But then again, who knows? Perhaps this time my posts will be as frequent as the rains of August.

Omigod. Months have passed since i last blogged. Since then, many things have occurred to me and my gripping life – things that could have been worth sharing. However, I was preoccupied with too many things which restrained me from blogging…

Does this mean that I am not busy anymore? Of course, the answer to that is no. Busy-ness will never be banished from my soul… Add to that the fact that my course is business ad (haha.. laugh)…

Nonetheless, I’m here again…. willing to share things about my life… and to read things about other people’s lives…. I know it will not be easy (as i’ve already tried and eventually failed to blog again for countless times)… but I will still try… Perhaps, this time around, i ‘ll do this comeback gradually…
