Whew… I proved again today the real meaning of UP – which is, University of Pila… I joined the bunch of students who queued up for a PE subject… sadly, most of us came home empty-handed… despite the varicose-vein-forming length of waiting that I’ve had… still, no PE was given to me…
one thing consoles me though, this lining up means that i’m not a freshie anymore… i’m a sophie now!!! yeah, baby, yeah!!!
I know that things will get more difficult as time passes by… this is sort of an introduction to the real meaning of “independence”…
- gone are the days when i had to ask almost everyone about the locations of the different buildings in the campus…
- gone are the days when i had to experiment on the different routes of the “ikot”,”toki”,”philcoa”, “mrt”,”and “katipunan” jeepneys… (which means i will not be absent/late anymore because of this naiveness)…
- gone are the days when i would be chosen as the leader in some groupings just because i’m a freshie… and nothing else… call that power-tripping… now, it’s payback time…
- gone are the days when i had to walk far/ride the jeep because of the distances of the buildings… now, the distances are relatively shorter (but they’ll still cause a sore to my feet)…
- gone are the days when i had to spend all of my free time with my high school friends… now, we need to form our own lives and expand our circles…. we can’t be with each other all the time… that’s a fact… we have our own respective colleges and we’re already taking major subjects… it’s time to grow up and move on (but it doesn’t mean that we’ll forget all the good memories we’ve had.. and there are no more good things that we’ll be having)… i hope they accept this reality… though it really bites
Things get more complicated and sophisticated as the hands of the clock tick away… the readiness to accept this is a sign of maturity, isn’t it?…
Update: For my friends, enemies and stalkers (haha… feeling)… here’s my sked this coming semester…
DELAS ALAS, EDGAR JR ENCINAS 2006*****
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accountancy
1st Semester 2007-2008
Total units : 15.0

Tsktsk, ang PE ay once in a blue moon lang nakukuha sa manual, madalas nakuha na ng freshies, given na yun. Prerog talaga pag PE.
***
Haha. Kaya useful ang org eh. ^o^
***
Nung freshie, di ako napagkakamalang freshie… di kasi akong mukhang freshie, which is sad, actually.
***
Weh?
LOL. Kasi ngayon, nagpupunta nakong Eng’g ulit eh

edgar: ok, maybe sometime in the future… ika nga ni heneroso.. konting kadyot pa… i’m not that lenient now when it comes to exchanging links e… un nga ung isang cause ng paglipat ko dito sa wordpress (please just refer to my first post for an elaboration)… because i’ve been too permissive, nahihirapan akong magcomment sa ibang bloggers though ung iba naman ang habol lang e link exchange talaga at ma-advertise ang blog … haha….. like what my header and the title of my blog say “EVERYTHING’S GRADED.. as the norm of RECIPROCITY emerges”… after you’ve proven that you deserve a high grade, maybe that’s the time you’ll be on my list…. un kasing mga nasa links section ko, kumbaga, they’re tried and tested na… kahit hindi rin sila magcomment ok na…. kasi i really enjoy their posts na rin…. i’ve been fond with their ways of writing… hehehehe… sorry kung mejo mahigpit na ako ngaun… ok?

you’ve finally moved to WP (and left me at blogger). congraaaats.
good to hear that you’re resurrected. for so long a time the GC was devoured by his books, maybe studying in mcdo or wherever, forgetting that he actually exists in the blogosphere as well.
if you hate pila, try volcorps! i uber love the RA work! trust me. haggard but fun, plus the enlistment perks!
u really have to drift away guys. high school is uber loooooong overdue. pang- reunion nalang yan.
(am i demonizing HS? i think and hope not).

Haaaay, nandito ka na pala sa wordpress! Ang tagal ko nang nawala!
Congrats sa pagiging sophie! Sabi nila, 2nd year is the best year for a high school or college student. You’re no longer the newbie who doesn’t know his way around and but not yet experiencing the difficulties of thesis making and Major Subjects!
Enjoy and savor college!
Edgar: Yes, I will…

nashoshock pa rin ako at parang gusto mo na talagang lumayo (sorry for the term ha, wala akong ibang maisip eh) sa hs friends mo… well, ako rin naman hindi ko na masayadong gustong maki-hang-out w/ my hs classmates pero ang di ko kaya ay yung talagang lumayo with my closest and true friends nung hs…
Edgar: it’s not that i will permanently isolate myself from them naman e (yuck conio)… i will just TRY to minimize my time with them… kasi before, when i’m not in my class or when i’m not studying, i was always with them.. hence, my opportunities of meeting new friends were diminished… kakaunti lang ang friends kong hindi mascian… and i wouldn’t like that to stay that way…. cause i’m a sociable, whore-like friendly person (wait, why did i include whore-like… i dunno.. it just crossed my mind…) ayun… what i’m just trying to have is a larger circle of friends… the bigger, the better….

Wa wa wee wa. A sophie huh? I know how the pilas go in Philippine Universities. Endless, but what’s good is that you can actually find good friends.
I like this power-tripping thing, it’s very familiar, hmm because it always happens to freshies! Haha, definitely payback time.
Being in college doesn’t necessarily mean you leave your highschool friends. It’s a way to expand your friend circles. As they say, old friends are gold, new friends are silver. Tama ba? Hehe.

we just left our year of innonence. lol.
Things get more complicated and sophisticated as the hands of the clock tick away > i agree. it’s so difficult to maintain whatever ties we have with new people. it’s also hard to remain in close contact with old friends. nagpapa-miss nga ako e. lol.
wish us luck in our second year at UP.

Ouch. Stat is fucking hard. Econ is okay..if you get lost in the beginning then it’s over. But knowing your grade, you’ll pretty much excel in everything I bet. I can’t believe you have 6 hours (tama ba?) of CWTS. Amazing.
Edgar: i know that stat’s dreadful.. i’m wishing myself good luck again… hahaha… all of my good grades are “tsamba”, it’s better than thinking that nothing would go wrong… our cwts doesn’t really last that long… it’s just in the sked …

Do you know that sophies are actually the least priority sa CRS?

XD
dudlak!
